Governance & Moderation
How decisions are made — who decides what, how conflicts are handled, and how enforcement works. In one place, in plain language.
How PLAIT Is Governed
PLAIT is stewarded, not crowd-ruled. Clarity over consensus — and boundaries that don't move with volume.
- Core Team: holds the Canon, the PLAIT Framework, and final product decisions
- Pod Leaders: hold the culture and standards inside their Pods
- Members: hold their own PLAITs, their visibility, and their participation
Partner funding is separated from governance: partners and sponsors do not get votes or special treatment. Decision-making detail →
How Moderation Works
Moderation is human, contextual, and accountable — there is no algorithmic enforcement.
- Reports are reviewed by a person, in context, according to urgency and available information — safety-related reports receive priority
- The PLAIT Code of Participation — not engagement math — is the standard applied
- Pod Leaders address issues inside their Pods first; the Core Team handles escalations
Enforcement & Appeals
Enforcement is graduated and every decision can be appealed:
- Warning → Temporary restriction → Pod removal → Prosper suspension → Account termination
- Every decision can be appealed and is reviewed carefully by the team
